Meet the Director

Back in 1992 Mark Landgrebe (founder of Homeless Bus, Inc.) attended an Anthony Roberts seminar in Hawaii in which he learned of a "Basket Brigades" program that was sponsored around the country to give out baskets to needy family's.

It was at this point in Marks life that he decided to conduct his own "Basket Brigade" program locally in Paterson, NJ and Manhattan for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Shortly after, Mark decided to make this a year round once a week project every Saturday night. To date Mark and his uncle Aldo have conducted 700+ runs into New York City. They provide hot food, clothing and toiletries.

Seeing the need to do more and provide to larger groups of the homeless Mark purchased a 17 Passenger Bus in 2004 that will allow him and his uncle to get around even in the worst of storms (when the homeless really count on the Homeless Bus)

Over the past 17 years Mark and Aldo have developed close relationships with some of the people they have helped on the streets. His uncle Aldo his an Optician by trade even made a pair of glasses for on of the homeless he met so that he could continue to read hi books.

Their are many ways people can help support what we do. Just go to our "How Can I Help" page. You may choose to donate your own amount or simply buy one of our Support Packages. We are thankful for any and all donations.

Thank you!

Mark Landgrebe
